Abstract

Indonesia is ranked 32nd out of 40 countries in dealing with sexual harassment issues, and there were 17,879 cases of violence that occurred, with the latest data on January 1, 2024 (according to the PPA Symphony) and 7,842 cases of violence against children with 5,552 occurring in girls and 1,930 occurring in boys in a period of 6 months calculated from January to June 2024, this is the case of sexual violence with the largest number from 2019 to 2024 currently, the objectives to be achieved in this study are to prevent the occurrence of diseases and sexual violence that can occur unconsciously or consciously and the implementation of reproductive health education through communication between parents and children, this study uses qualitative research with data collection techniques, namely literature studies, data that has been obtained, researched, and refocused efficiently basically and described narratively, from the results of the research analysis conducted, it was found that education about reproductive health was not obtained early on, because it was considered taboo or disgusting if discussed by parents towards children, whereas in such cases education about reproductive health is very important not only to maintain reproductive health but also to know how to protect yourself in inappropriate things or sexual harassment committed by others, The benefits of this study are to re-awaken parents about reproductive health education from an early age, not only children get reproductive health education through learning at school, but it should be the responsibility of parents to provide education about reproductive health and protect themselves from unexpected sexual violence.
