Abstract

Mathematics is a fundamental lesson that needs to be mastered. But many students respond negatively to these subjects. So it needs to be innovated by using educational games. This research is a development research. The aim of this research is to develop an educational game learning media based on RPG Maker MV on the VII grade KPK material in Karangrejo 1 Junior High School, Tulungagung. The development model used is ADDIE which consists of analysis (analysis), design (development), development (development), implementation (implementation), and evaluation (evaluation). The instruments used included questionnaires for evaluating the quality of learning media given to material expert lecturers, media expert lecturers and teachers as well as learning interest questionnaires for students Role Playing Games were a type of game that focused on roles and storylines that had goals. Players interact with other players to reach the final goal in the game. This research is a development research. The procedure in this study consisted of analyzing game products developed, developing initial products, and testing products. The results obtained by the game "COC" were valid with an average rating of 3.17 from expert validators and 3.65 from media validators. The results of the practicality questionnaire from five prospective teachers were 82% and twenty students were 76%. So that the game "COC" based on RPG Maker MV which is made also practical
