Abstract

Trigonometry is one of the subjects learned in educational mathematics. The use of trigonometric material in everyday life is one of them used to measure the height of a building. Seeing the importance of trigonometry in everyday life is worth studying more deeply in school. The difficulty of students in learning trigonometry at school is when completing high-level thinking questions or HOTS. This was obtained by the author when conducting trials in the field to determine the ability of high school students to solve high-level thinking problems or HOTS on trigonometric material get the problem is that students have difficulty solving high-level thinking problems. Based on these problems, the author was inspired to analyze deeper about the ability of high school students to solve HOTS questions on trigonometric material in terms of learning styles. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive qualitative method which aims to analyze the ability of high school students to solve HOTS questions on trigonometric material in terms of learning styles. The results of this study are student with auditory learning styles get a value of 15 with a low category. Student with visual learning styles get a value of 90 with a high category. While student with kinestetic learning styles get a value of 15 with a low category
