Abstract

The number of elderly people in Indonesia is placed position after China, India and the United State of America. Many people can enjoy their old age but a few of them must experience in illness until death without being able to enjo ytheir old age in happiness This is due to decreased or morphological changes in the musculosceletal and cardiorespiratory systems. Discussions on the physiological effects of exercise have been compiled systematically so that information is accurate and valid. ACSM Guidelinesis is used as a gold standard for exercise recommendations : 30 minutes/x or more with moderate intensity aerobic exercise up to 3-5x/week for a total of 150 minutes/week, equipped with resistance, flexibility and balance exercises.
