Abstract

One of the numbers in athletics is the long jump. Physical education learning outcomes, especially athletics in the long jump material at the Tabita Sion Foundation Elementary School, are still low, this can be seen from the results of the evaluation in the first semester of the 2020/2021 school year where out of 25 students only around 55.69% got a complete score of 75 or only 9 students out of 28 students. The low results are due to low learning motivation and the lack of learning methods conveyed by the teacher to students, so students become bored to do what the teacher is instructed to do. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of playing jump rope on the improvement of long jump results for Class VIB Elementary School students at Tabita Sion Foundation. This type of research is in the form of classroom action research which is divided into two cycles. Based on the research data, it was found that in the first cycle the students who had achieved the KKM score were as many as 10 students with a percentage of 35.71% while the students who had not achieved the KKM score were 18 students with a percentage of 64.29%. Cycle II students who have achieved the KKM score are as many as 22 students with a percentage of 78.57% while students who have not achieved the KKM score are 6 students with a percentage of 21.45%.
