Students' poor problem-solving reasoning abilities can be overcome by getting students used to working on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions, which include knowledge (C1), understanding (C2), application (C3), analysis (C4), evaluation (C5), and creates (C6). The purpose of this study was to find out how much students' reasoning abilities were in solving math problems on HOTS questions for class III at SDN 1 Kedungdowo. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Data collection is done through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research data is in the form of student answer sheets. This study uses data analysis techniques which consist of three things: (1) Data reduction, (2) Data presentation, and (3) Drawing conclusions. Based on the results of observations and interviews that have been conducted by researchers on students' reasoning abilities in solving problems in class III of SDN 1 Kedungdowo, there are levels of students with the highest score categories, medium scores and lowest scores, while students with the highest score category are able to fulfill all indicators of reasoning ability mathematical reasoning, while students with moderate value categories were able to fulfill the three indicators of mathematical reasoning ability, and students with the lowest scores did not meet the indicators of mathematical reasoning ability.
