Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' mathematical problem solving skills in solving math problems in class V SD Islam Nurul Yasin. This study uses a type of narrative qualitative research conducted on fifth grade students of SD Islam Nurul Yasin, Mejobo District, Kudus Regency. The subjects of this study were 26 students with a purposive sampling technique that focused on 5 students. .data collection techniques in this study in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used in this study is data collection, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study were to analyze the ability to solve mathematical problems in the material volume geometry, discharge, scale and presentation of data and to analyze the problem solving abilities of fifth grade students using answers to questions given by researchers on the subjects studiedcategorized based on 4 indicators which include understanding the problem or question, planning the problem, solving the problem, and checking again. The results obtained from the results of the analysis using the 4 indicators above can be concluded that the ability to solve mathematical problems of fifth grade students at SD Islam Nurul Yasin Mejobo is still relatively low so it needs to be given more treatment.
