Abstract

One of the factors supporting the success in learning activities is textbooks, and one of the learning
models that can improve student learning activities in the learning process is Think-Pair-Share, therefore
the purpose of this research was to determine the development process textbooks that support learning
model Think-Pairs-Share on number theory course. The development research model used is a 4-D model
(define, design, develop, disseminate). Sources of data the in this research consist of validation
questionnaire, questionnaire of practicality, student learning outcomes and the form observation of
student activities. Data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results of the validity analysis
show that the textbook was developed is valid because it has a validity value of 3,20. while the results of
practicality test has value 88,5 with practical criteria. Textbooks developed are also considered effective
because the percentage of student activity during the use of textbooks is 83.5 with very active category
and the learning result test analysis has average of 81.4 with good qualification (B). Based on the results
of the analysis obtained in this study can be concluded that the textbook developed this can be used as a
teaching material of students in studying the number theory.
