Analisis Pemahaman Siswa Sd Dalam Menyelesaikan Masalah Kalimat Matematika

Abstract

Understanding students is important because by knowing it the teacher is expected to be able to design the right learning in the learning process. This study aims to analyze the understanding of elementary students in solving the problem of mathematical sentences. The subjects of this study are the students of grade V elementary school consisting of 3 male students who have high, medium and low math skills. Data collection methods used are test and interview methods. The results of this study is on the component of interpreting subjects capable of high and low have similarities that tell the purpose of the problem by using the same sentence with the problem and do not use mathematical symbols. While the capable subject is telling the purpose of the matter by using his own sentence and not using mathematical symbols. In the component of summarizing understanding the three subjects have in common that is summarizing the sentence on the problem by using the sentence itself but not complete in providing information. In the component of understanding inferring high-ability subject to conclude the answer in accordance with the question about. While the subject of moderate and low ability to have similarities that only solve the problem without giving. In the explaining component of explaining a high-ability subject explains in detail the problem-solving step to include the reason.
